Daewoo Cargo Tracking Not Updating: Causes & Solutions
A plain guide to why Daewoo Smart Cargo tracking can stay the same while the bus travels, how the scans work and when to call customer care.
Why Tracking Stays the Same During the Trip
Many people worry when their Daewoo cargo tracking does not change for hours after booking. It is normal for a status such as “Booked at Origin” or “In Transit” to stay the same for the whole trip.
This almost never means your parcel is lost. Parcels travel in the luggage bays of Daewoo buses, and they are only scanned at the terminals.
The Two Main Scans for Bus Cargo
Daewoo Smart Cargo travels directly from one terminal to another on the bus, without stops at sorting centres. So there are usually two main scans:
1. Booking and Departure Scan
When you hand in your parcel at the sending terminal, staff weigh it, label it and enter it in the system. When it is loaded on the bus, tracking shows “Booked at Origin” or “In Transit”.
2. Arrival Scan at the Destination
There are no scans while the bus is on the road. The next update only appears when the bus reaches the destination terminal and staff scan the parcel into the storeroom (“Arrived at Terminal”).
Common Reasons Tracking Does Not Change
If your tracking has not changed when you expected, one of these everyday reasons is usually the cause:
- Still on the road: On long routes, such as Lahore to Karachi, the bus spends many hours on the road. Tracking will not change until it reaches the terminal.
- Weather and roads: Thick winter fog, heavy rain or road works can make the trip longer, so the arrival scan comes later.
- Busy arrivals: When several buses arrive at once, staff unload and scan every parcel in turn, so yours may take a while to show as arrived.
- Typing mistakes: If tracking says “No Record Found”, check that you did not mix up similar characters on your receipt, such as the number “0” and the letter “O”.
What to Do If Tracking Seems Stuck
- Check when you booked: Look at the booking time and destination city on your receipt. Think about how long the bus trip usually takes on that route.
- Watch for the arrival notice: You do not need to keep refreshing the tracking page. An arrival notice is sent to the receiver’s phone when the parcel reaches the destination terminal.
- Call customer care with your receipt: If the trip should have finished a long time ago and there is still no arrival update or notice, call the helpline on 042-111-007-009.
What to Tell the Helpline
When you call about tracking that has not changed, give these details so they can find your parcel quickly:
- Your booking number, printed under the barcode.
- The terminal where you booked the parcel.
- The terminal where it will be collected.
- The date and rough time you booked it.
If the sender gave the wrong phone number when booking, the receiver will not get the arrival notice. The sender should contact the sending terminal or the helpline with the receipt to check the parcel and fix the number.
The helpline can check whether the bus has arrived or has been delayed.
